As a multiple World Fast Draw Champion, shooting since age 7, I know the art of the draw. The holder of the WFDA (World Fast Draw Association) speed and accuracy record both, I built my first holster in 1976 at age 19 out of necessity. I knew where my pistol needed to be, and no holster put it there. These records were shot out of this first Ernie Hill holster! Soon after, every shooter wanted one, and here we are today.
From dominating the competition holster world of IPSC/USPSA and World Fast Draw Association, Quick Cal and I go back to these early years. Me, as a holster producer and Cal Eilrich a.k.a. Sizing and Measuring Tips:
Hip Size (holster belt). (where you will wear the holster, USE TAPE MEASURE, WITH YOUR CLOTHES ON!). Note: Sometimes it is helpful to put on a belt where you wish to wear the holster, then take it off and measure from the end of the buckle to the hole that was used on the belt.

The best method to check what proper size belt to order is whatever your pant size is plus add 6 inches. So, if you were are size 36 pants, it should be a 42″ belt.
