The CFD-20-LR Holster is a New Generation – Exposed Inside Rawhide Lined Cowboy Fast Draw Holster. The holster is 3-Ply construction, with the inside of the boot lined with very slick rawhide, with middle and outside layers of high-quality leather.  The inside of the holster rawhide lining maintains its factory form and provides for cutting edge drag-free release of your six-gun.  There is also a “Safeleg Deflector” on the toe of the holster, which guards against an injury from a wax bullet should a “boot-shot” occur.  This “Low-Ride” Drop Mexican Loop holster, does have a leather string leg tie-down.  The trigger guard of the six-gun has a resting point on the back-cut of the holster.

The CFD-20- LR has an 18-Degree Cant and is designed for more of a drag-free pull-back type draw, where the six-gun is fired just over the holster.

Many shooters ask, “Why a High Ride or Low Ride”.  The answer is that everyone has a different body of many proportions.  i.e. long arms or legs, various torsos, etc.  Sometimes shooters just have to find what works for them and judge it for themselves.  

We now stock both Black & Mahogany Brown as shown in the pictures.

Note: Mernickle dies their exposed rawhide linings.  Black dies very well, whereas the mahogany brown has some fades.  But, they’re unseen when your gun is in your holster, as it should be.
