The CFD-21-HR Holster & Belt Combo is a New Generation – Exposed Inner Rawhide Lined Cowboy Fast Draw Holster. The holster is 3-Ply construction, with the inside of the boot lined with very slick rawhide, with middle and outside layers of high-quality leather. The inside of the holster rawhide lining maintains its factory form and provides for cutting edge friction-free release of your six-gun. The 2-1/2″ Mernickle High Performance Belt has a rough-out inner lining which helps keep the belt from slipping up and down. There is also a “Safeleg Deflector” on the toe of the holster, which guards against an injury from a wax bullet should a “boot-shot” occur. This “High-Ride” Traditional Mexican Loop holster, does not have a leather string leg tie-down. The trigger guard of the six-gun has a resting point within back-cut of the holster.
The CFD-21-HR has an 18-Degree Cant. Since the trigger guard of the six-gun rests within the back of the holster, this allows for the ultimate pull-back draw which keeps the six-gun lower and right over the holster for the optimum speed-draw, especially with exposed inside the boot rawhide lining!
Many shooters ask, “Why a High Ride or Low Ride”. The answer is that everyone has a different body of many proportions. i.e. long arms or legs, various torsos, etc. Sometimes shooters just have to find what works for them and judge it for themselves.
We now stock both Black & Mahogany Brown as shown in the pictures.
Note: Mernickle dies their exposed rawhide linings. Black dies very well, whereas the mahogany brown has some fades. But, they’re unseen when your gun is in your holster, as it should be.
Special Comment: Pictured is the CFD-15, which is very similar to the CFD-21-HR. We expect them to be in stock by May 10th, and will update the picture at that time
Sizing and Measuring Tips:
The best method to check what proper size belt to order is whatever your pant size is, plus add 6 inches. This does not include modern elastic waist band pants. So, if you wear size 36 pants, it should be a 42″ belt.
